Harvey

If he was to excercise and lift weights on a daily basis (regardless of what time of day it is), he would eventually build muscle that would burn calories for him...even while he was at rest. That is how the metabolism increases.

Wearing a sweatsuit only removes water from the body. It does nothing to remove fat from a person....it only gives a slightly smoother appearance, and a temporary weight loss.
(Only a few hours).

A 500 lb person should ONLY be excercising in front of a physical therapist.

Weight loss is calories eaten, minus calories burned. Therefore, if this 500lb man was eating 5000 calories a day, and only burning 400 calories a day with excercise, then in a week, he would lose less than a pound. (however, men who are morbidly obese, they often can lose up to 40 pounds in the first week, because water weight surrounds the abdominal organs. Adhering to a strict diet will usually cause an initial shedding of a LOT of water weight in the first week or so).

At 500lbs, everything needs to be supervised by a doctor.

Christine

It is proven that getting 7-8 hours of restful sleep a night are needed to lose weight. I would say that if that 500 lb person is going to be really tired after working out then thats fine, probably at 500 lbs they will be tired. Eating 1300 calories a day or even 2000 will be fine so if the stomach is empty after eating that many calories then thats fine.

I would not wear a sweat suit to sleep. For one reason you need to rest and breath. Sweat while your awake so you know if there is going to be a problem that could harm you.

Albert

No. first of all you should never workout before going to sleep because you'll have a hard time falling asleep. Also sweat suits don't help weight loss they just dehydrate you, so when you drink the water you loss your weight returns to what it was. The best thing to do is get you workout in the morning and try not to eat a couple hours before sleep

Marlene

If they did cardio before they went to bed, then no.

Lifting weights however continues to burn calories several hours after completion.

Sleeping on a empty stomach will not increase weight loss, but it'll stop weight gain while sleeping.

Wearing a sweat suit to bed will make you shed water weight, but will lead to slower fat burning as you will become dehydrated.

Who wants to know? YOU?

Anytime you exercise (doesn't have to be before sleep) it speeds up your metabolism a bit. So yes, it would help. But it's best not to exercise before you go to bed. Or so they say. I used to do aerobics before bed and it didn't stop me from sleeping.

Earl

No, you lose better weight if you exercise early morning because you're body will be built up with that metabolism throughout the day. Empty stomach don't help at all, it only help you lose water muscle weight. I use to be uneducated about diet and fitness until I experimented and started researching more. But that's not a good idea from what you stated.
