Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com

Good luck and stay focused = )

Lee

Please trust me when I say you don't need a weight loss pill to lose weight. Nobody does.

Every weight loss pill company says to diet and exercise while taking their product. Why, because that is how you lose weight, through diet and exercise.

That is how they get you. They make you believe that it is their product that caused the weight loss when in fact it was actually your hard work. What happens when you don't diet and exercise while taking their product and see no weight loss results.

They say to you, Well, we do recommend diet and exercise as well. It's a win win situation for them.

You need to give it a lot more time before you see significant weight loss. Healthy weight loss should only be 1 kg (2 pounds a week). You should have only last a couple of kgs max in this time anyway.

You have not said anything about healthy eating. This is an absolute must. You may be walking 5-10 miles daily but at what sort of intensity is it. You need to jogging or at least be walking very fast to burn a significant amount of calories.

If you burn more calories than you take in (achieved through a healthy eating plan), build up muscle through strength training and complete 30 minutes of solid cardio (jogging/cycling etc) a day then weight loss is a certainty.

This following website gives you the tools you need to develop a healthy lifestyle and maintain it for a lifetime.

Good luck and all the best with your weight loss goals

There is a revolutionary weight loss product called Form from O3 World that has an 88.9% success rate as compared to an average of 13%. It was formulated by a doctor and helps with portion control. I'll stick some links on here where you can find out more about it. Watch the You Tube video posted in the Ning group or do a search on You Tube and see the kind of results real people are getting.

If you are truly serious and dedicated to this program...actually...I cheated and still lost...I did sub-lingual...lost 17 pounds and learned a new way to eat....and did it for 48 days...go to yahoo group HCG DIET and read....it really does work for most...good luck...I was always stuck at 165 no matter what I did...I now linger between 147 and 150...yeehee!

Kenneth

There's really nothing over the counter that helps and in my opinion, nothing with a prescription that helps either. Anything strong enough to do the job has been taken off the market (example: Fen-Phen).

It's really all about good old-fashioned healthy food in healthy amounts and exercise. I'm struggling too, much of the time. It sounds like you may be eating either too many calories, or more likely, too FEW calories. Walking 5-10 miles a day is amazing! I regularly do 4 and occasionally do 6 and it wipes me out. I wish you lived here so I could have a walking buddy. You need a lot of calories to keep your metabolism functioning right when you're burning that much fuel.

Have you tried keeping a food log so that you can analyze your diet? You can print one out (free) on the site below. My suggestion would be to keep eating the way you've been eating but write everything down for a week or two and then analyze it. See where you can make some improvements, either by cutting back or adding more nutritious foods. Check the food pyramid (found under Eat Healthy on the site below) to make sure that you're getting enough lean protein, veggies, fruits, whole-grains, low-fat dairy, and heart-healthy oils.

If you're not already, I'd try eating 3 small, healthy meals a day and 2-3 small, healthy snacks. Drink plenty of water and save all sweet drinks (even diet) for special occasions. Eliminate as much salt, sugar, and alcohol as you can.

If you're just on a plateau, try celebrating your non-scale victories. Is walking easier than it used to be? Are your pants fitting better? Do you have more energy? Look for those kinds of things (that don't include numbers on a scale.)

You can find lots of helpful info on the site below. Good luck and don't give up!

Jeanette

You don't need to buy anything. Give it a little more time, and look at things from a sensible and practical perspective.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. A couple of the links I've included explain how.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.
